Bahman Jalali

“Bahman Jalali (Tehran, 1944) is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Iranian photography. His work is a testimony of the Iranian Revolution, the Iran-Iraq War and the post-war years. [He] also documents daily life, traditional architectural forms, and includes photomontage and historic negatives. His role in conserving, studying, and transmitting the photographic heritage of of his country has made him a master and key actor in Iranian culture. (Jalali, back cover)”
