Sequence 006, The Secret of NIMH

Continuing our work on the Don Bluth Collection of Animation, the VRC has cataloged 23 images from sequence 006 of The Secret of NIMH. What is impressive about these drawings are the highly detailed renderings of the internal mechanics of a farm tractor. It is clear that the artists responsible for these images spent some time studying a farm tractor. So much of the film is very organic feeling in contrast to this particular sequence. According to our Special Collections counterparts who house this collection, these images are very popular with the Animation Department.

Images from:

Bluth, Don. (1982). The Secret of Nimh. Graphite and colored pencils on paper. The Don Bluth Collection, Jen Library, SCAD, Savannah, Georgia.
